Caribbean Daydream is an original contemporary Native American painting created by Cherokee artists WaLeLa Studios. This one-of-a-kind work explores themes of light, reflection, and expansive calm through layered acrylic, bold color, and expressive texture.

Story & Symbolism

It’s winter and cold here in Oklahoma, and I’ve been missing the Caribbean, so I poured that longing onto this canvas. Palms leaning into a blazing sunset, waves rolling in like a heartbeat, and that warm reminder that even when you can’t leave… your mind and spirit can still travel.
This piece is also tied to my song “One Day”, because that island pull is real:
“From the first time I set my feet on the sand,
Felt the heartbeat of this island land…”
And the chorus says it best:
“This is where I belong, Jah know it true,
One day I’ll be living here, just me and you.”
If this painting feels like a memory you’ve lived, or a place you’re dreaming of, tell me what island has your heart. ❤️
