In Cherokee story, when the Sun’s daughter is lost and the world turns dark, the people journey to the far western “Night Land” to bring her back, carrying hope in a small box and faith in their hands. But when the lid opens, she slips free as a redbird, returning to the unseen world, leaving behind a lesson as tender as it is powerful: some things cannot be held, only honored.
This finished painting holds that exact hush, the moment light begins to return.
